Marcus has achieved a certain amount of success in the AAA realm, singing, playing, and composing lyrics and music about what he knows best— every day life in small town America. His music is fueled by internal conflict and relationship struggles and tough topics such as the plight of the homeless, teen suicide, break-ups, and gratitude. It is both joyous and mournful, rolling with Ruggiero’s own emotions and experiences.

Began writing and performing at the young age of 13. Born and raised in Schenectady NY. Played weir Hall at Carnegie at 17.  Performed at the famous Bluebird Cafe in Nashville at age 20. CBGB’s at age 30, Cafe Lena aprox 40 and Marshall University football Stadium west Virginia at age 45..  And in-between numerous rock venues.

,enjoyed heavy rotation on triple A radio stations around the globe with the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton & The Eagles.

Performed with Dangerous Dan Toler of The Alllman Brothers, shared the stage with greats such as Foghat, Loverboy, Dave Mason to name a few.. 

Won best song at LAIFF Cinefest for his contribution theme song to Netflix Award winning short- The New Weapon. 

And  after several records. Continuing his music endeavors by forming the band 

Side Show Gypsy.

SSG is Slated for a brand new LP, with several more to follow. 




Brian Melick has been professionally involved in music for over 42 years starting his career at the age of 14.  As a recording artist he has been featured on over 400 releases both for independent as well as major labels. He has four releases under his own name “Percussive Voices”, “uduboy”, “Diverse Elements” and “In Motion”. The first three respectfully have also been released as sound libraries for commercial industrial use and are finding much success on several major networks, cable networks and motion picture organizations such as Discover Channel, The Learning Channel, Disney, Columbia Pictures, and NBC to name just a few.  As an Educator Brian has developed several diverse participatory programs exploring the world of percussion, the world of udu drum as well as creating percussion instruments out of found objects. He has authored “The How To of Udu” as well as “Percussion Instruments Made Out of Found Objects” which are methods and building percussion instrument resources respectfully. These books are supported with audiophiles as well as dvds for a well-balanced offering. The dvd for “The How To of Udu” is available worldwide through Alfred Publishing.   Most recently Brian has authored a 15 week course curriculum used in both the classroom as well as in afterschool enrichment programs entitled “Playing with Percussion”. He holds several US Patents for his custom designed percussion stands and built and performs on the first ever Lego Drum Set which was featured in the international drum magazine Modern Drummer. Brian made a second Lego Drum Set for the permanent collection of Percussive Arts Society's international percussion museum known as Rhythm! Sonny Speed



Sonny is an independent record producer, multi-Instrumentalist and recording engineer that the NY Times called, "A musician and producer known for his professionalism". He’s the owner of Son Spot Recording Studio in Saratoga Springs and is credited with producing and playing on over 75 CD’s to date. Sonny is an accomplished blues keyboardist and was inducted into the NY Blues Hall Of Fame in 2015. He’s played on stage with great musicians like Joe Lewis Walker, Murali Coryell, Slam Alan, Rhett Tyler, Taz Cru, Papa John Mole, Sonny Rock, Bill Sims, The Hoppen Brothers (Orleans), The Drifters, Chubby Checker, Bobby Lewis, and more.

Sonny is the past Director of the “Island Songwriters Showcase” (ISS), Long Island’s largest songwriting organization which he headed for 15 years. Additionally Sonny serves on the board of the Saratoga Acoustic Blues Society and the Capital Region Blues Network CRBN. He hosts the monthly SABS Acoustic Blues Night at the world famous Café Lena in Saratoga and every Monday night he hosts the “Stormy Monday Blues” radio show on WRPI 91.5 fm Troy NY.

Currently you can find him headlining "Sonny and the Suspicions" or "Sonny Speed's Stretching The Truth" or as a band member of "The Andrew Wheeler Band" or "Nite Train." Sonny continues to thrill new audiences with his energetic playing and vocal style either with his own bands or as a hired gun for many diverse acts.

Sonny has opened up for a very diverse list of artists over his 50 years as a professional keyboardist, such as The Zombies, Leon Russell, Susie Tyrell (E Street Band), Billy Joel (Hassles), Ricky Skaggs, Leslie West, Cactus, Toby Walker, Foghat, Jay and the Americans, The Coasters, Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs, 1910 Fruit Gum Company, The Crystals, and a whole lot more.
